Spielberg Summer Blockbusters Featuring Disclosure Day & Movie Review

Every few months Universal Orlando Resort debuts an overlay on a store that celebrates a season or a theme. For summer 2026, the Universal tribute store space is an exhibit titled Spielberg Summer Blockbusters Featuring Disclosure Day. It’s more museum than shop and filled with treasures from the director’s greatest hits and newest feature. Spielberg’s film Disclosure Day, hits theaters June 12, 2026.

Steven Spielberg Universal Orlando Tribute

You can see this walk through experience May 23 through August 10, 2026 at the Universal Studios Florida theme park. A park ticket is required for entry.

The following films are featured with performance details, awards and nominations and original props:

  • Jaws
  • E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
  • Jurassic Park
  • Jurassic Park: The Lost World
  • Disclosure Day

There is an interactive Disclosure Day display at the end that doesn’t give anything away from the film. It has a few small props from the movie including a badge worn by Colin Firth.

What props are featured in the Steven Spielberg exhibit?

A film prop can be a lot of things. In this display you’ll see some of the best movie making items there are. Look for things like the actual bikes from E.T. and a walking cane of John Hammond’s with the sap jewel on top. These are quite memorable and a real treat to see in person.

Disclosure Day Music By: John Williams

With a Steven Spielberg film, we’ve come to expect spectacular music. Disclosure Day is the thirtieth film John Williams has scored for him. The pair are an iconic Hollywood duo and Spielberg rightfully continues to credit Williams as part of the reason his movies are so successful.

This quote by Steven Spielberg about John Williams music is one of the first things displayed in the Universal Orlando exhibit:

“I expected to hear something weird and melodic, tonal but eerie… And what he played me instead with two fingers on the lower keys was ‘Dun dun, dun dun, dun, dun, dun’… I asked him to play it again, and it suddenly seemed right…Without that score, to this day, I believe the film would have been only half as successful.”

Disclosure Day Review: Spielberg’s 2026 Film

Disclosure: I was invited to attend a screening of this film.

Disclosure Day stars Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor in a suspenseful mystery with an extra terrestrial theme. With the name Spielberg in the director line, it’s worth having the full movie theater experience.

Disclosure Day is a top tier thriller that’s good for the imagination.

Is Disclosure Day scary? I don’t watch horror films but I’m always intrigued by a good thriller. This film is perfectly paced with high stakes, robust suspense and a lot of mystery, action and fast moving chases. There are some scenes I looked away from quickly for personal comfort.

Ultimately, this immediately became one of my all time favorite films.

My Thoughts on Disclosure Day

Disclosure Day is hardly able to be compared to another movie.

If anything, I’d say it feels like E.T. for grownups with more meaning and wonder.

One thing about Steven Spielberg is, he’s going to make an alien movie. What’s impressive is his ability to tell these kinds of stories in a way that appeals to the masses, reaching far outside of the dedicated science fiction fan base.

Disclosure Day exceeds storytelling standards of today in every way. It provides a movie going experience where time doesn’t exist.

The best art starts conversation and invites new thought. That could be as a boisterous debate over a post viewing meal. It can also be a quiet, thought provoking inner monologue. The story and performances in Disclosure Day set the stage for both and more.

Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day explores if we are alone in the universe in the most realistic and relatable way possible. Somehow it accomplishes the introduction of hope alongside one of the most mysterious topics.

John Williams work on Disclosure Day truly supports the film’s direction. When a character is in a dark room or suspicious setting, an ominous or hopeful note tells us how to perceive the moment. The way musical notes progress sometimes tell the story more than anything else. I have a preciously curated John Williams playlist that regularly serenades me with Jurassic Park and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial songs among others. While I didn’t walk away from Disclosure Day ready to add any tunes to my regular rotation, I reveled in the way John Williams always knows just what a movie needs.

Instead, John Williams’ score does more important work in Disclosure Day. His orchestrations fill the air alongside Emily Blunt and the others, saying more than words ever could.

Disclosure Day is the movie of the year, far better than I could have anticipated, even with an existing, deep appreciation for these two cinema legends.

What is Disclosure Day rated?

The 2026 film Disclosure Day is rated PG-13 with parents strongly cautioned for action/violence, some bloody images and strong language.
