I have never been so excited for Star Wars Weekends.
Jim got me a Her Universe gift card for Christmas because the R2D2 dress that I wanted was sold out all over the galaxy.. for months. I was finally able to order it last week and it should come in just in time for the first Star Wars Weekend! I love last year’s Star Wars ensemble and I’ll definitely be replaying that but I’ve waited for so long for this R2 dress! Well. Worth it. Let’s be honest, I wanted to wear it to Star Wars Weekends anyway. For more super cute R2 merchandise keep reading..
To go with my droidy new dress I painted some R2D2 nails that I’m loving so much. White, bright and sparkly with a touch of beep boop beep. I’m going to top it off with a red sparkly bow and call it a costume.
Nail polish used: Sparkly silver for R2’s head is #15 from Pretty Please Nail Polish. You can name the colors yourself. They sent me this “Sparkly Ever After” nail polish a while ago. The cobalt blue is Butler Please from Essie. The chunky silver glitter is Essie’s Set In Stone. The rainbow confetti glitter is OPI’s Rainbow Connection from the 2011 Muppet collection. I had this orangey red rhinestone laying around. I ordered like 1000 of them a few years ago on eBay and still have a boatload.
This year, Ashley Eckstein is returning to Star Wars Weekends with Her Universe and a bunch of cute new R2D2 merch. An R2D2 skirt and super cute new top with my favorite droid and foily hearts but the best of all is the Her Universe R2D2 jewelry collabo with The Sparkly Factory. What even! I never saw this coming and I just happen to be completely obsessed with pearls right now. The brands announced the collection via Instagram last week.
