Argh. It’s that time of year to try and think of a cute costume again. This year I wasn’t ready to commit to a big number but wanted to dress up for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World. I found a cute costume on Amazon for an amazing price and just had to share it here. This pirate costume is super light and easy to put on and wear around Magic Kingdom. It would be a sea breeze to travel with and I’ll definitely be saving this for my next Disney Cruise.
Side note: How about the ease of the whole family being pirates? Everyone can do their own thing but you’re all still coordinating. Matching costumes can be tricky but pirates all around is super easy and fun and fits right in at Disney.
Also can we just take a moment and gasp at the fact that the dream lights are already starting to appear on Cinderella Castle as seen behind me here on October 5th? The holidays happen fast at Walt Disney World. Back to Halloween. This pirate costume came with four pieces and was easy to put on. It also came with a cute little sword that would be great for parties and events elsewhere but isn’t permitted at Walt Disney World. The bandana, skirt and top were all ready to go and would stretch to fit a range of sizes. The mid-section was velco and essentially would only fit perfectly on a smaller waist measurement range. So. What I did for myself, it was slightly too small for me, was use a hole puncher to create a set of holes on each side of the velcro and lace it with black ribbon to make my own corset in the back. Super easy fix and I’ll remember this for Halloween costumes in the future. I think you’ll love this costume if you’re looking for something cute and easy that won’t be too hot outside at Disney or anywhere else.
