Disclosure: I was invited to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake, guests go to Magic Kingdom for some of the best memories they’ll make all year. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party holds a special place in my heart. Before I was an Annual Passholder, me and my mom made some great memories at this event. It’s the place where you’re never too old to trick or treat. The family friendly Halloween vibe is just my style and the new offerings make the event better every year. Here are some of the things I appreciate the most about Mickey’s Not So Scary.
Entertainment is everywhere you go at this event. Live pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean, Halloween themed humor inside Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and all of the characters in Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade are some of my favorites. The Cadaver Dans are the splendid and spooky nighttime version of the Dapper Dans and are found in Frontierland throughout the night. The Haunted Mansion really comes alive at Not So Scary with ghoulish special guests on the lawn! The special entertainment you can only see at the party sets it apart from any other day at Magic Kingdom.
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular is the new firework and projection show replacing Hallowishes. We can all agree that as each new show with projections debuts the visuals are more stunning and creative. This show is the best yet! We bought tickets to attend the Halloween Party this show debuted at this year and I’m so glad we did! I was very impressed with the new pyrotechnic design. It’s still a perimeter firework show but the fireworks are now all in view. It’s like the prettiest panorama you’ve ever seen. Bright bursts of light fill all the sky you can see. Stunning! If you just can’t get enough of it like me, go for a late dinner at California Grill, ‘Ohana or any other restaurant with a firework view in the area.

Main Street moments are always a Not So Scary highlight for me. The music and lighting change for the party and it feels so festive. There are seasonal themed treats around and Starbucks in reach with all the pumpkin spice fabulousness. The pumpkins and leaves decorating this street are how I know it’s fall here in Florida.
