This Sunday I was lucky to take a walk down the yellow brick road and view a special screening of the new movie, Oz The Great and Powerful. The Disney Parks Blog hosted this special meet-up at the World Showplace in EPCOT and provided an extremely magical experience as always. It’s such a delight to visit this venue, located in between the U.K. and Canada pavilions in World Showcase. World Showplace is such a big space and the chandeliers and
wall draperies are lit in colors to compliment each event that takes place there.
Watching a new movie inside a Disney Park was reason for me to geek out but we were also treated to Oz the Powerful punch and Glinda the Good popcorn. These little touches added to the Disney Parks Blog Meet-ups are so charming! I also really enjoyed trivia about the world of Oz that took place before the screening. There is a lot more to it than The Wizard of Oz and Wicked! And my boyfriend Jim won a cute pair of Oz 3-D glasses for answering a question correctly. 😎 As for the movie, it was completely different than what I imagined and I’m so thrilled that I loved it! I was skeptical at first because The Wizard of Oz film has such a special place in my heart. I can not wait to see Oz The Great and Powerful again and I’ll have a full review here soon!
Great recap. I didn’t get many good photos of the lobby – but I did get several of the garden. Loved the movie, and the little goody bag was a nice touch. 😉
