I went to my local Alfred Angelo Bridal store to pick up an event dress and some shoes I ordered and this beautiful piece of movie magic met me at the door. I had heard the Cinderella wedding gown from the 2015 live action movie would become a dress any lucky girl could buy at Alfred Angelo but totally forgot. It was such a nice surprise when I walked. Let’s take a closer look.
Cinderella 2015 Live Action Film Wedding Dress
This detailing isn’t quite the color palette on Lily James Cinderella gown in the movie but pretty close. However, I love this shape. If you watched or read Alfred Angelo Disney Gowns & More from earlier this year you know the Cinderella gowns from past collections were my dress of choice. In fact when I asked my friends on Instagram, everyone wanted me to try on the Cinderella dress with the blue sash and lots of you had either been married in it yourself or had a sister who was. This dress is that same wonderful, ever-flattering shape. It brings the middle in and poofs out at the bottom accentuating the waist. The nice lady helping me today also explained that the trick with the bottom of this dress is how w i d e it is. So wide.
So I tried this on for fun research purposes. You have to see these things on someone to get an idea for the fit. I had a feeling you might be interested in seeing it. If you haven’t been in the business of trying on wedding gowns before, know that it’s unlikely that they’ll have your size in the store. They will probably have you try on one that’s too big for you and clamp it on. Maybe what they have is too small for you. In which case you can hold it up with your elbows and dream. To get your exact fit they take measurements and pick the size closest to that. Then you can have it altered when it comes in if you choose.
This beauty comes in the style I’m wearing or in a shape pretty much identical to Cinderella’s in the film with long sleeves. It comes in the colors shown here, light gold with multi-colored flowers, or ivory or white. If you’re on the market, this is dress 252. It’s limited edition and only at a few stores.
