Star Wars Celebration VI – Fan Girl Favorites

I attended my first Star Wars Celebration yesterday and was pleased to see a wide variety of girly finds. The photo ops were my fave. There were scenes set up from the Star Wars universe to pose in, often with characters.

Legos were in full swing! There were tables of Legos for kids to play with and fan-built Star Wars Lego scenes as well as life-size Lego characters to pose with. Here I am hangin’ with my home droids.

And this Lego costume! A for originality.

A fun picture my boyfriend, Jim, edited of a ginormous blow up Death Star that decorated the convention center.

In all honesty, the entire reason I wanted to go to Celebration was to attend the Her Universe photo shoot. After so many requests from fans to be a Her Universe model Ashley Eckstein, the founder of the trendy, geek chic clothing brand for ladies, made dreams come true by having a photo shoot room set up at the convention. It was super fun to go dolled up and have my picture taken in front of a white back drop. The pictures will be featured on the Her Universe Facebook page soon! Below is a collage of the Her Universe booth and the new shirt I got.

A nice girl assisting with the photo shoot had these adorable Toms with Star Wars fan art on them that a friend made for her. So cute!

One of the most interesting things on the show floor of this convention is the amount of original Star Wars art presented. So many interpretations of our favorite characters were portrayed in unique styles. Here I am with Jim, and artist Christian Waggonner. He does fantastic work with beautiful reflections. Click here to read about the art we won identical to the piece he’s holding below.

I enjoyed spending time at Celebration with my boyfriend. This event was great for all ages (just distract the kids when a slave Leia walks by) and very fun to experience together as a couple.

If you know me, you know I have a strong love for Mr. Tony Stark. This was up to bid on with proceeds benefiting the Make A Wish foundation as well as the next helmet I share below..
