Sanaa Dinner Review

Sanaa Dinner Review Walt Disney World Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

I think this is the first time I’m writing about something that I’ve already written about and completely changing my opinion on it. I first dined at and wrote a Sanaa review many years ago when I started this blog and loved everything about it but.. the food. This was purely because I didn’t venture far off of the grilled cheese, fettuccine alfredo, chicken tender path. Well, friends, I’m back seven years later with a mature palette and a new Sanaa dinner review to tell you why it needs to be on your Walt Disney World to do list.

Disney Parks are the best at taking us to different worlds. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World gives us a chance to experience another corner of our own. Nestled into the Disney Vacation Club area of this resort is the beautifully themed Sanaa restaurant serving up African and Indian food. The details in Sanaa are absolutely incredible with delicious textures and colors and the best lighting fixtures around. There are fun booths all around. The whole place is eye candy really. However, the thing that sets Sanaa apart is that it has big windows on to the tiny savanna on the property. We had a 6:00 p.m. reservation and saw every animal there including my favorites: giraffes and zebras.

Sanaa Dinner Review

Since my first time eating at Sanaa I’ve switched to a plant-based diet. This place is a dream for vegan and vegetarian eaters. Sanaa is kind of pricey but it’s mostly because a highlight is the $17.00 bread service. This is no ordinary bread and butter scene. It has a few different breads, we had naan only because it was the vegan option, but comes with so many, like nine, different spreads. The mango chutney and tomato-date jam are my favorites. This is so worth it and great for a few people to split. My husband got the french press of vanilla rooibos and it was a delight. For the meal I like to get the potjie inspired. You choose a few different things and I like to get two helpings of the cilantro-coconut vegetables with the rice. I never eat this kind of food otherwise so all of these flavors are different to me. If you like to experience new things on your Disney trips, everything about Sanaa is an adventure.
