In the midst of battling the Underminer villain, Violet protects her family by throwing one of her most super force fields yet. Featuring Sarah Vowell as the voice of Violet, Holly Hunter as the voice of Helen, Craig T. Nelson as the voice of Bob and Huck Milner as the voice of Dash, Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018. ©2018 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.

The Incredibles are officially back and in a big way. I’m going to just lay it down for you and spill that The Incredibles was not my favorite Disney Pixar movie when it came out in 2004. It was one of those weird things where I watched the movie when I was tired, I had just gotten a new surround sound system, and with all of the action and crash bang–I wasn’t feeling it. So, if the original Incredibles movie was not your complete and utter jam, I’m here to tell you I think you should still see this sequel. It’s really good.

Incredibles 2 picks up right where we left off after the first movie which is one of my favorite details about it. Before you go see this one, definitely watch how it all began. What makes this film a standout is the super realness of the story. Even in this fantastical, mid-century modern world of a super hero family, we see the relatable struggles of parenting, families and relationships. Women bread winners? Stay at home dads? Teen angst? We see it all in a story that’s perfectly well written from beginning to end.

In “Incredibles 2,” Bob navigates life at home with the Parr kids while Helen leads a campaign to bring back Supers. But when baby Jack-Jack shows some surprising changes – including the appearance of a few unexpected super powers—Bob finds that it’s challenging to keep up (and awake), even for Mr. Incredible. ©2018 Disney•Pixar. Come for the super heroes, stay for the laughs. The highlight of The Incredibles 2 is how very funny it is. Those real life topics I shared above can be a drag in the real world but they are celebrated with comedy here in the best way. You will absolutely love Jack Jack and all of his shenanigans. My personal favorite takeaway is how the Parr family works together. Each member seamlessly contributes with their powers and it’s wonderful to watch. The Incredibles 2 is super.
