Disney’s Hollywood Studios 25th anniversary rededication ceremony was very nice. It was short and sweet, on the stage in front of the hat and included a cast of special characters. The Park’s VP, Dan Cockerell, an opening day Cast Member of the Park, a guest who was here on opening day and Mickey Mouse all imprinted their hands Hollywood-style on this special piece. There are over 80 Cast Members that opened the Park that still working here today!

And then I got to meet Dan Cockerell. Yay! He and many of the other Cast Members on stage were around chatting and taking pictures after the ceremony. What a nice guy.

The Stars of the Studios motorcade had a lot of the favorites of the Park.

The fireworks closed this day on a perfect note. The music highlighted icons of Hollywood Studios like The Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones, Beauty & the Beast and Star Wars. The jaw dropper was the tribute paid to the Tower of Terror. Bright fireworks went up.. and sounds similar to those heard at the end of Sunset came down. Screaming fireworks. It was brilliant.

Thanks to my awesome friends for truly making the day what it was! To have joy one must share it. I was so happy to meet awesome new people and see many familiar faces too.

I was so blessed to be able to spend this day at Hollywood Studios. I spend so much time here and was overjoyed to celebrate the silver anniversary of my regular hangout. It’s where I met my boyfriend. It was my home as a Cast Member. It’s the Hollywood that never was but always will be.
