I feel like I just woke up from an amazing dream but it all really happened. Me and my fiance just spent an incredible weekend at Walt Disney World. We stayed at Disney’s Yacht Club, played in the Parks, enjoyed dinner events put on for our group and I got to attend the most amazing and inspiring info-filled day with others in the same career. It was a weekend filled with Disney and social media. I was home in all the ways. Let’s start where all good stories start: the beginning.

What is #DisneySMMC?

The Disney Social Media Moms Celebration is a digital influencer conference at Walt Disney World Resort. This event filled experience is invite only but just f.y.i. it’s not free. I did receive some goodies along the way, most of which I’ll be passing along via giveaways here and on my Instagram and Twitter.

I love conferences, conventions– basically any opportunity to learn and talk to people who do what I do. I learned a lot at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I got to hear behind the scenes social media workings from companies like Huggies, Kimberly-Clarke, Hanes and even Disney Parks. I’ve got a lot of fun info heading to the blog from some of the Disney sessions that were about new and upcoming attractions and offerings coming to Walt Disney World! We heard about the detailed story of Disney Springs from Walt Disney Imagineer Theron Skees and got exclusive info about the new Disney’s Animal Kingdom show Rivers of Light from Disney Show Director Mark Renfrow. Alice Through The Looking Glass comes out May 27th and we got a behind the scenes look at it from girl power powerhouse and Producer Suzanne Todd. I was so surprised that before Finding Dory Producer Lindsey Collins gave us a presentation about the film she showed us the first 33 minutes of it! People that make Disney movies, attractions and such are truly unsung heroes. Hearing secrets and getting insight from them meant everything to this fangirl. I was having a moment. All day. And I’m so excited to share what I can with you!

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Typhoon Lagoon Beach Bash

At #DisneySMMC we got to experience some great dinners like the one pictured above at Typhoon Lagoon. We got sneak peeks at some excellent stuff coming to Walt Disney World soon like what the Tree of Life will look like at night and a colorful, energetic carnival (rhymes with ball) performance that will soon entertain guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! This is just a little overview of what this event was, what it was like and what you can expect to see here on Sparkly Ever After soon.
