Disney Face Masks For Adults Review

I’ve been reviewing Disney merchandise on this blog for over eight years. This is my first time reviewing.. Disney face masks. I’m writing this Disney face masks for adults review to help you decide if the official ShopDisney masks fit your needs for face coverings during the pandemic.

Official Disney Princess face masks

These official Disney cloth face masks come in multiple sizes and designs. I ordered the Disney Princess and Frozen set of four in size large priced at $19.99. The product details share the front is polyester and the middle and back are cotton so we can assume it has three layers. They are not reversible, there is only a pattern on the front and the inside cotton layer is white. If they are a preorder don’t count on them to come in early. It took about six weeks for mine to arrive. Mine say made in Honduras. Care instructions say machine wash cold on gentle and tumble dry low but I’ll let mine air dry so they don’t shrink since they’re cotton.

ShopDisney provides these measurements for the large mask:

• width 7”
• height relaxed (pleats closed): 3 3/4”
• height extended (pleats opened):  6”
• ear loop strap length per side, joint-to-joint: 6 1/2”

Pros of these Disney Face Masks For Adults

I’m very happy with the fit of the size large. My husband also got large but in the Star Wars masks and thinks they’re a good fit for him too. These masks are soft and more comfortable than functional. I say that only because there is a little gap on either side of my nose and when I exhale I can feel it a little on my eyes. I still feel like it’s a great option for my needs, especially when also social distancing. The pleated design helps this mask stay put when I’m talking which is a must. On my first try on I had to pull the loops a little more than I thought to fit them over my ears but the material is the perfectly stretchy. I know everyone is worried about masks in the heat and these are pretty lightweight.

Also to Consider About These Masks

These are, of course, not surgical masks and no face covering like this will totally guarantee your safety from the virus as Disney pretty much states on their site. These masks do not have a filter or a nose pinch piece to secure the top hence the feeling a little air flow around my eyes when I exhale.

Questions from my Instagram friends that I didn’t already answer:

Is it breathable? I think so but it still feels protective.

Does it fold your ears? Yes, the straps are thick and I’d prefer elastic but still wearable.

Does it fog up glasses? Surprisingly no! Only on deeps breaths or at a certain angle.

Is it manageable in heat? These are pretty lightweight and a great option for hot days.

Does it slide down your nose? No.

Does it stay in place? Yes with natural talking and movement.

Lastly, how would you rate the quality? Good quality! I would buy again.

Overall I recommend these Disney Princess masks! The designs are so cute and I’m trying to grow my mask collection. I don’t really go out in public aside from a handful of errands since March. We do grocery order and pick up and I feel comfortable wearing these for outings like that, visiting a drive through and other activities where I can social distance.

Update to consider: I’ve seen quite a few people say the masks they received were not the sizes stated on the website. The sizes of my four masks differ slightly and differ from my husband’s. However, my husband has stretched his masks out by hand, they are mostly cotton, and they fit perfectly. The Disney face masks remain widely purchased and I still recommend giving them a try.
