First came Wickedly Beautiful, Unlock the Spell, Fiery Spirit and Fantasy in Flight. Now Pop of Minnie, the fifth Beautifully Disney collection, makes it’s way to stores at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. I went to the launch event for the new line at Tren-D, the most stylish store at Walt Disney World. When a new collection launches they usually hold one of these and offer free mini-makeovers and manicures so shoppers can try the product. The rest of the time there are no testers available BUT.. The store that was located next to Tren-D that sold sporty attire is currently undergoing a makeover. Soon it will become home to a few different mini-stores if you will and Beautifully Disney will have a permanent home there with testers and possibly always someone to do a demonstration on you. I’m thrilled about it because though this Disney makeup has made it’s way allll the way around Walt Disney World (I mean it – it’s at Downtown Disney, the Parks, the spas and many resorts) it doesn’t seem to have a central home. The newest collection is showcased most boldly and pieces from other collections are found with it. Now having enough room, these cute and covetable cosmetics will have a proper residence and display. Back to Pop of Minnie, this collection launch was slightly dampened due to the rain. The manicures showcasing the polish are usually done outside but it was too wet out so only makeup celebrating commenced indoors at Tren-D. There is always a nice amount of makeover staff on hand and it’s well organized so I didn’t have to wait to get my makeup done. I was so happy I got to try on the lipstick. Yes, now Beautifully Disney has lipstick! And it’s so nice. I wore a bright, bold, orangey-red from the set. They are sold as a group of four mini lipsticks. It was a beautiful, creamy matte and wore nicely. To see more from the launch event, watch this little video I put together. Read on for more details on the collection.
Nails
Dots or Nothing, Poptimistic, Oh Mod Mouse, and Orang’ You Cute are the names of the neon style nail polish colors. We can look for nail appliqués from this collection in late Spring so I’d say around the end of April. Dots or Nothing is a fun idea. It’s not glitter per say but confetti. Small pieces that you paint on but they don’t sparkle, they’re more matte. I’d love to see this over a Minnie-esque red..
Lips
I’m very particular about lip products and the Beautifully Disney lip gloss isn’t my style. Though the packaging is gorj, the product is very light and I prefer lips that stay all day, are bold or nothing at all. Well, hooray for adding lipstick to Beautifully Disney! I really liked the consistency and wear from trying it on at the launch. I don’t wear lipstick often but I’ve been wanting to change that and now I can with these. Like I said earlier, they are mini lipsticks sold in a pack of four.
Lip gloss & Eyeshadow Swatches
Some of these lip gloss shades do look to be promising if that’s your thing. They’ve done it again with the eyeshadow palette! I love the neutral and bold color mix. The Princess palette from the very first Beautifully Disney collection is still my go to eyeshadow so I’m excited to play with this one. The neutrals in this palette will look great over a nice primer. The bold colors show up fairly shear.
I have an upcoming look series on this collection so check back if this interests you or subscribe to my YouTube channel. Stay beautiful!
Disney Parks Debuts Beautifully Disney Tutorials
Now Disney will be sharing video tutorials on the Disney Parks YouTube channel showing looks with products from their cosmetic collections. I’m definitely applauding this as someone who watches YouTube beauty videos regularly. People love to see how a product works and what it can do. Below is the first tutorial and it’s from the Pop of Minnie collection.
I love that lip color on you. And I’m excited to hear that it’s getting a home!
