I recommend The Ultimate Day of Thrills for…

Anyone who wants an adventurous day at Walt Disney World. This tour is perfect for those who want to have a full Walt Disney World experience in a short amount of time but don’t want to do all the planning and research that can require. It felt so wonderful to be on autopilot and let someone else do all of the choosing and planning. If you’re one to go with the flow and just want to have a great time no matter what you’re doing you will love this. Those who don’t enjoy waiting in lines will be thrilled at how fast you zoom from ride to ride! There was a father son duo on our trip experiencing Walt Disney World together for the first time. They added this tour to their quick trip and I couldn’t help but think it was an excellent choice. The son said he liked thrill rides and they got to do almost all of them at the resort! This would also be the best way to experience four parks in one day! Though the tour only included three parks, we headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom after on our own to round out the day.

I don’t recommend this tour for those looking to spend the day taking lots of photos and leisurely enjoying the sights, those who wouldn’t enjoy touring Walt Disney World  or dining with strangers or those who don’t enjoy thrills. There’s another tour for those passing on the coasters and such. The Ultimate Day for Young Families has a similar set up but would be a Fantasyland lover’s dream.

The Ultimate Day of Thrills price isn’t cheap but it’s definitely worth it. Please note the price does not include park admission so each member of your party will need their own way in. My Favorite Parts of The Ultimate Day of Thrills

The Ultimate Day of Thrills started out on a really magical note when we had to meet up with the group inside Magic Kingdom before it opened. We went in the reservations and tours entrance and were permitted early access. Main Street U.S.A. is truly spectacular in the morning light before the crowds have entered. If you’ve ever wanted to get that “no one else on Main Street” type photo this is one way to do it. By 9:26 am we had already enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain. I loved how much we were able to do in such a short amount of time. The private transportation provided on this tour was a huge plus. We were escorted backstage at Magic Kingdom into private vans with water bottles waiting for us. Talk about special treatment! It saved a lot of time between parks to go in and out backstage in vans just for us. We enjoyed lunch at The Brown Derby. (We ordered from a fixed menu the morning of the tour.) Our tour guides were wonderful and offered fun tips like trivia and facts along the way. How about celebrating your birthday, anniversary or one of life’s great events with a Disney VIP Tour? My fiancee, Jim had his birthday recently and this was a fun way to celebrate that.

Things to Know

Ultimate Thrills is noted as ideal for ages 7 and up and all height requirements for attractions apply. Eat breakfast before you go. The tour is subject to change and ours changed quite a bit. It usually includes Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom but because Dinosaur was closed we went to EPCOT and got to enjoy Soarin’. Dress ready to move because the pace is fast, fast, fast. Remember you’ll get from the last park you visit to your next destination on your own but Walt Disney World transportation like buses, boats and monorails are an option.

Wonderful Review! Does the tour vary upon who is in your group, and what you’d like to do? Say, a family member isn’t especially fond of certain E-ticket rides such as Coasters.

Thanks, JET! This particular tour is on a rigid itinerary. It starts with Pirate of the Caribbean, moves on to Splash Mountain, etc. If you don’t like a certain ride you can totally sit it out. We sat out Tower of Terror and Mission Space. If a ride is down for refurbishment, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was for us, they put in something else, like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. If you’re wanting a flexible tour where you can pick the attractions, one of the private VIP tours is for you. 🙂

    Nicole,

Hi! We have booked this tour for December. At the time of booking it included Animal Kingdom and lunch at The Hollywood Brown Derby. I received a call saying that the itinerary has changed to EPCOT to ride Soarin’ and lunch at Sunshine Seasons. So 1 less ride and lunch at a quick service instead of a table service restaurant. Do you feel the tour would still be worth the hefty price even with these changes? If they were doing Test Track and still having a table service lunch I would not question it.

    Hi, Audrey!

This is a great question. I agree with your thoughts. We also visited EPCOT on our tour and rode Soarin’ instead of the Animal Kingdom portion. I believe we tried to ride Test Track too but it closed due to weather so the rest of the group went on to ride Mission: Space. So they basically traded two rides at DAK for two rides at EPCOT. Understandable. This other part is tricky because I felt like the lunch at The Brown Derby was really what sold me over on this. We ordered our meals in the morning and when we arrived the restaurant was pretty empty and we had big tables reserved for us in the middle. It really felt like a VIP experience. Sunshine Seasons is a very different experience. Isn’t it funny how just changing the restaurant changes the whole thing? If you’re going on the tour to hit the most exciting rides in the shortest amount of time I would say it’s still a decent value. If you’re going to experience Walt Disney World in a VIP way or just differently than you have before, I’d say it may not be worth it. The table service lunch is just so different than quick service.
