Any movie that has Johnny Depp in it is one I’m willing to see. To be honest, I didn’t know much about The Lone Ranger and wasn’t enthused from the previews. While I didn’t love this movie to bits, there were some things about it that I enjoyed and I’ll share those with you.
Armie Hammer really surprised me. He was fun to watch and an excellent storyteller. If you put anyone next to Johnny Depp there’s a good chance Depp will steal the show. However, Hammer and Depp play well together.
Jerry Bruckheimer produced this film and I could definitely feel it. There were some intriguing action scenes that reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Helena Bonham Carter is fun in her role but I wish we saw more of her. You’ll love the leg trick.
The story is enjoyable but does feel slow at points. If you have a past with The Lone Ranger you may be more apt to like this movie.
