I always leave the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival refreshed. Something about the precise greenery and array of colors gives me life. I’m a bit of a type A and I like to see things just so. You can imagine how complete I feel when I see the meticulously placed, patterned flowers around the pond pictured below. With Disney it’s always the little details that make the difference and these are my favorite Flower and Garden details..
It’s really easy to charge into the EPCOT entrance and zoom for World Showcase but don’t forget the Festival starts right there! I must have passed this Goofy and Pluto topiary showcase, only giving it a side glance, a handful of times before I noticed its beauty. Possibly my favorite detail in all of Flower and Garden is that Goofy’s hose is actually running in this scene! I just thought it was so clever.
Snow White is the best looking topiary. I mean look at those lips. Red as the rose. And that leaf sticking up at the bottom of her hair is almost Mickey-shaped. While the topiaries are great, part of the real excitement for me is the photographic opportunities this event provides. I really love this photo I took of Snow White beaming at Spaceship Earth. Disney Parks are the perfect photo muse but all the Flower and Garden additions give even a regular visitor like me something new to capture.
Now that Flower and Garden offers booths like Food and Wine it’s my favorite of the two. Frushi has been mentioned around here a few times [frushi, frushi] and it’s something I always look forward to at the Festival. Also see these: 5 Fun Foods & Drinks at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival.
The daintiest of details is the butterfly garden. Butterflies landing on me? Wigs me out every time. Butterflies fluttering about just out of reach? Actually really neat. I was also really impressed with these themed Shakespeare and Inside Out gardens.
