Star Wars Weekends Date Night

Star Wars Weekends 2015 Date Night | SparklyEverAfter.comWe spend a lot of time at Walt Disney World but actually getting a date night in is rare. It was a real treat to get to play at Star Wars Weekends with my boyfriend last weekend. It actually made for a perfect date! Starbucks, shows, fireworks.. let’s start at the beginning.

We began the evening at The Trolley Car Cafe a.k.a. Starbucks at Hollywood Studios with a little #CoffeewithCharacter. (If you haven’t played that game, check out my hashtag on Instagram.) Ahsoka and Anakin reunited.

Star Wars Weekends 2015 Date Night | SparklyEverAfter.comThis next part is really romantic. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is really romantic to me in general because we met there, had our first date there, etc. but there’s something special about the sunsets at that park. The neon glowing to the tunes of old eras gets me every time. I’m a 1940s girl at heart and Studios really charms me. So we caught this beautiful little scene after leaving one of the Star Wars Weekends shows.Star Wars Weekends 2015 Date Night | SparklyEverAfter.comSpeaking of the shows, we caught our favorite, Obi-Wan and Beyond with James Arnold Taylor and another neither of us had seen before. We ended up loving Visit to the Maul with Ray Park. He’s a super talented martial artist, stunt man and actor who happened to play Darth Maul. It was his break through role and we really enjoyed hearing about that his other mega cool stories. He did some fantastic demonstrations on the stage. I mean. Stuff you see in the movies and think, “Wow, this part is probably computer generated.” This one is definitely worth seeing!

Star Wars Weekends 2015 Date Night | SparklyEverAfter.comOh, Symphony in the Stars. The Star Wars Weekends fireworks are pretty fab. Seeing fireworks at Studios is always great because it’s not as common as the other Parks nightly spectaculars. (However, Frozen Fun has kind of changed that.) Anywho there’s a quick pre-fireworks show where characters of the galaxy flood the stage and then that soundtrack we know so well begins to play. Actually. I probably know it better than you because I used to work at Star Tours and listened to it for hours a day every day for a year.
Star Wars Weekends 2015 Date Night | SparklyEverAfter.comStar Wars Weekends 2015 Date Night | SparklyEverAfter.comThe fireworks really make this event for me. A day at a theme park almost doesn’t feel complete without fireworks or some sort of night time show that all but shuts the park down. The Star Wars Weekends firework finale is massively explosive and, as Darth Vader would say, impressive.
