SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Review

I’m so impressed. Previewing SEA LIFE Orlando was my first aquarium experience and I’ve got a boat load of photos and details to share. From the music to the lighting, the attraction was completely immersive and very relaxing. You’ll see areas dedicated to different oceans and regions and the theming at SEA LIFE Orlando fits right in with its neighboring world class theme parks. There’s also a lot to learn as you walk through. Just wait until you read about sea horses. Talk about brow raising facts.

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium | SparklyEverAfter.comOf course, the stars of the show are the sea creatures. You’ll meet, and learn about, a lot of characters along the way. Get up close and personal with fish, sharks and more friends from the seas.

There’s a great balance of educational components and show quality at SEA LIFE Orlando. There is a booklet for children to take around and stamp as they learn different facts but the experience doesn’t interfere visually or audibly for those wanting to enjoy a quiet, pensive outing. At one point there’s a bench in front of a large aquarium and I think you can find a lot of inner peace floating around in there if you stare long enough. SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Review | SparklyEverAfter.com

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Tunnel | SparklyEverAfter.comThe 180 degree view tunnel pictured above was just stunning. Sharks and fish are just swimming about and you get to take a peek into their curious, aquatic lives. The habitats are decorated so beautifully. This place is just waiting for couples to hold hands and stroll through it. But it gets better. Below is the view of the 360 degree aquarium view tunnel from across the way with people in it.

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Tunnel Sparkly Nicole | SparklyEverAfter.comHere I am inside the 360 degree aquarium view tunnel. This Goliath Grouper was hanging out here for a while and a nurse shark swam under me. These views are just so breathtaking. To be under water, observing these creatures without an inhibiting breathing mechanism is absolute magic. Even when you’re not technically standing underneath water here, you’re made to feel like you are through the atmosphere. I felt like a mermaid.SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium | SparklyEverAfter.com

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Review | SparklyEverAfter.comThroughout the attraction there are aquariums of many different shapes. Some bubble out and some you can walk under. Many provide great photo opportunities like these that let you inside (kind of?) the habitat. This eel is a relative of Flotsam. Ok, no he’s not. Note: You may come out looking like a fun house mirror version of yourself.

SEA LIFE Orlando is like a tiny vacation within a vacation. Dark and relaxing, the space has a serene tone with delicate splashes of bright color.

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Jellyfish Light | SparklyEverAfter.comI got to touch two kinds of sea stars and a sea urchin in the touch habitat at the end of this walk through attraction. The guide there said the sea urchin will give your finger a little hug. She put her finger close to the sea urchin. Its pointy extremities surrounded it and closed in slightly, appearing to give her a hug.SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium Touch Tank | SparklyEverAfter.comRight at the start, SEA LIFE has a fun photo op. I ended up loving the photo and I don’t usually care for these kinds of things. At the end of the attraction you can purchase a book for $35 that has your three experience pictures in it and loads of information you learn in the attraction. The book is a quality piece and would be the perfect keepsake for littles to remember their trip.
