Rockin Burger Block Party Review
During the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival there’s a lot more going on than the food booths around World Showcase. A few years ago a happy accident fell into my lap and I got to attend Party for the Senses. It’s an over the top food and drink event in World Showplace. It was fancy and fun. It was also quite expensive. I was delighted to learn of another slightly less pricey offering this year that has the same fancy all you can eat vibe happening in World Showplace. Read on for my Rockin’ Burger Block Party review, details and more.

What is World Showplace?

If you get a chance to go to an event at World Showplace, a hidden building between Canada and the United Kingdom, do it. I’m always intrigued by less visited corners of Walt Disney World and this is certainly one. They dress it up differently for events and it always has these glittery crystal chandeliers. Swoon.

I went to the Rockin’ Burger Block Party solo to see American Martian, formerly Mulch, Sweat and Shears from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but it definitely has a party vibe and would be a lot of fun with a group of friends too. Any time I see American Martian is performing at Walt Disney World I snatch a ticket or do what I need to do to be there! So needless to say the entertainment at the Rockin’ Burger Block Party is top notch.

The food. Oh, yes, the food. I hate/love to admit it but cheeseburgers are a diet staple for me. My regular spot at Disney Springs is De-Luxe Burger, we frequent Red Robin–I’m going to stop there. Basically I enjoy a good cheeseburger and that’s what this thing is all about. Upon walking in I received a program and it had a guitar pick on the cover that I would take off and vote for best burger of the night with. Honestly, I’m not too picky about burgers and was just excited to try a few different kinds. The real winner is everyone that’s eating at this thing. Celebrity chefs are competing for best burger and when I was there Paul Wahlberg was a contender among Orlando locals and others. I voted for his burger. He totally won. There’s also unlimited alcohol, shakes, a Mac n Cheese Station and a Tater Bar.

So here’s my take on the Rockin’ Burger Block Party. It’s a total yes for me. I really went to see the band and of course they were amazing. I’d rather enjoy a private party like this over the Food and Wine Festival booths. The Rockin’ Burger Block Party is indoors, easier to enjoy with much shorter lines, the food is unlimited, it has a party-like atmosphere, top notch entertainment and though everyone is not guaranteed a seat you’re much more likely to get one here than outside. There are tiers to this event that do get you a reserved seat by the way. I got there early and had no problem getting a seat with the $99 ticket. I’m kind of a picky eater and didn’t realize there would be other types of “burgers” than beef. I still felt like I had a great selection despite my picky palate. Every plate is prepared fresh right in front of you so it’s easy to ask for one without a certain topping or something. I also found the energy of the Cast Members to be over the top fun. I had such great interactions this night and loved seeing Cast Members dancing at their stations and excited to offer food to guests with a smile. There’s one Rockin’ Burger Block Party left on November 11th.
