It’s time to open the windows, drive through for a pumpkin spice latte and watch fun Halloween movies. It’s spooky season, y’all. Every year I have a little list of Disney Halloween movies I like to watch to celebrate the season. I’m not really one for scary movies so these are as good as it gets for me. I’m including Amazon affiliate links to my faves below, especially because some of the prices are real treats and far better than what you’d pay on iTunes or at Target. Tell me in the comments below if I’m missing your favorite Disney Halloween movies!

Hocus Pocus

Can you believe this fun and fabulous film has been putting a spell on viewers since 1993? Dang. It still delights every year. Especially now that the Sanderson sisters are part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. As a kid I was totally scared of that dead dude that was following them around in this movie. Actually I was a little bit scared of the Sanderson sisters too. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy play such memorable characters and are one of the sweetest parts of candy season.

The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad

It’s really about Ichabod and the headless horseman here. Love you and your wacky driving, Mr. Toad, but Sleepy Hollow tales are the favorite in the fall season. This is one I’ve watched since I was a little girl. I remember my mom watching this with me when I was a tot and I was totally spooked. As an adult, it’s totally cute and funny. Bonus: Bing Crosby croons in this movie which totally makes it re-watchable.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Whether or not you like Tim Burton’s distinctive storytelling style, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween time classic. Me and my fiancé have the same debate every year: Is this a Halloween movie or a Halloween/Christmas hybrid movie? I say Halloween. By the time Christmas rolls around I’m all red and green and glitz only. I love the Halloween visuals in Nightmare though and have to watch it in the fall every year.

Halloweentown

Halloweentown is another one of those 90’s kids classics. The cheese is real but there’s just something I love about the Halloweentown movies. It brings all the spooky Halloween fun into one place.

Below I’m including some more seasonal favorites that may not be Disney Halloween movies but still have that fun, family-friendly vibe. I love to re-watch all of the Harry Potter movies every fall. It’s just a perfect movie feel for this time of year.
