Disney Halloween Costume Ideas

Disney Halloween Costume Ideas | SparklyEverAfter.comI’m always looking for Disney Halloween costume ideas. This year, I got this Pocahontas costume for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I wanted a new costume but didn’t want to spend a lot. I like to DIY but some things are just easier and sometimes less expensive to buy. Amazon prices fluctuate but this Pocahontas costume was around $20 when I ordered it with free Amazon Prime shipping. Totally worth it. I could tell from the picture online I would want to make my own Pocahontas necklace and figure something out for her arm marking so I still had a little DIY Halloween costume fun. I’ve been wanting to wear a Pocahontas Halloween costume for a while now, I really resonate with her, and thought this would be great to wear to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party  at Magic Kingdom because it’s so no-fuss. Hair down, necklace, dress, moccasin sandals, done. I was excited to come up with a unique makeup look but it was still low maintenance considering looks I’ve done in the past that required curling irons, fake lashes and such.

While I was searching Amazon for Disney Halloween costumes I found quite a few decent ones at good prices that I wanted to share. This is such a convenient way to shop, especially if you have Amazon Prime. Even though you can’t try them on before you buy, if you plan ahead in case it totally doesn’t fit, I think this is a great way to find a good Disney Halloween costume at a great price.

Pocahontas

I made my own necklace for this out of cardboard, ribbon and rhinestones. The basic dress is all I really needed and I like the way it looks and fits.

Snow White

The original Disney Princess is always in style. Complete your Snow White with red lips and some great mascara. This is certainly a classic Disney Halloween costume and this one looks easy to get around in.

Cinderella

Though I’d love to wear a ball gown, this version of Cinderella’s dress makes for a convenient, practical Halloween costume especially if you’re celebrating at Disney Parks. You’ll still be able to prance around Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in this beauty.

Belle

I like the way the dress detail looks on this Belle costume. This is a pretty classic Disney Halloween costume and another practical version that let’s you get around easily.

A Little Mermaid

I know what you’re thinking. This isn’t really an Ariel costume because her shells are purple. It’s a Little Mermaid costume not The Little Mermaid but I absolutely had to share it because it’s just so cute! I’ve seen a lot of mermaid costumes where the fin just doesn’t look right and I think this one nails it.

Live Action Cinderella

The 2015 live action Cinderella was one of my all time favorite movies. This Cinderella costume was a close second for me this year. There’s a chance I may still order it if another party pops up. This would be a fun yet still practical Disney Halloween costume because you can curl your hair like hers, do some light and shimmery makeup and feel like magically glam without the huge dress holding you back.

(Update: I wore this costume in 2016 and wrote a full Cheap Cinderella Costume Review)

Tinker Bell

I feel like Tink is a classic Disney Halloween costume. She’s cute, pixie dusted and you can totally wear glitter on your cheeks to complete the look. I like that this comes with puffs to put on your shoes.

Alice

I like that this Alice costume is simple but gets the point across. You can wear comfortable black shoes and a black headband and you’re done. There are so many fun characters in Alice and Wonderland that this would be great for a family or friends wanting to wear Disney Halloween costumes together.

Evil Queen

This Evil Queen costume would be awesome for a mother daughter costume duo. She’s classic Disney Villain material and just screams Halloween to me.

Minnie Mouse

Another simple idea is a Minnie Mouse costume. This would be so easy to do with a red polkadot dress and some Minnie Mouse ears which you probably already have if you’re reading this post.

Modern Maleficent

I really enjoyed the Maleficent live action movie with Angelina Jolie and I think this would make a great Disney Halloween costume. It’s short enough to be practical for a long night around Magic Kingdom too.
