Celebrating Halloween at SeaWorld

SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular 2014For the spooky season, there’s a sea of fun to explore at SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular. The event takes place from 12 to 8 p.m. on October: 4-5, 11-12, 18-19 and 25-26. This Halloween event is included with your Annual Pass or regular admission to SeaWorld. The park operates regularly during this event so you can still enjoy an excellent day with all your favorite attractions and shows. Most of the Spooktacular events take place on one side of the park.

SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular 2014

Details like the Halloween themed Sesame Street show, cookie decorating (additional cost) and a billion bubbles make Spooktacular perfect for the little ones. SeaWorld also has a lot of characters out during this event for taking photos and interacting. Fish, mermaids, witches and more. The costumes are amazing and it’s impressive how SeaWorld can incorporate great characters of its own without producing movies. The side of the park with all the Halloween fun is decorated with lots of pumpkin fish. Penelope is the pumpkin fish and she hosts a party with a DJ and crafts for kids. Costumes are permitted and of course there is trick or treating! Bags for trick or treating are provided.

Some might say I’m an adult but I’m not going to say no to free candy.

The attractions of SeaWorld offer varying levels of thrills. There are things families can experience together like the Antarctica ride added last summer and unique coasters like Manta for the daring. There are a lot of coasters in fact. Atlantis is half dark ride, half coaster but all fun and one of my favorites. SeaWorld’s greatest gem is the wonderful creatures. In shows and habitats, everyone can enjoy and learn about the beautiful beings of the sea. My favorite show is Blue Horizons featuring dolphins, divers and aerialists.

New this year is the Dine With Shamu Halloween Spooktacular Brunch. This includes a reserved table with a view of majestic killer whales, a seasonal brunch menu, a family photo with a Halloween Spooktacular frame, a free cookie decorating kit and a trick-or-treat bag with goodies. I was pleasantly surprised to see prices start at $24 for adults and $14 for children ages 3-9. Do reserve the Spooktacular Brunch in advance.

Annual Pass Special
For a limited time, parents can get 50% off an Annual Pass for kids 9 and under with the purchase of a full-paid Annual Pass. For more details and to purchase, visit SeaWorldOrlando.com. Even if you’re just shopping for you, I think you’ll be pleased with SeaWorld’s Annual Pass prices. I have the Fun Card which costs the price of a one day admission and allows you to go for the rest of the year. It just doesn’t include free parking.

Disclosure: I was invited as a guest of SeaWorld to experience this event. I’m thankful for the opportunity.
