Alice Through The Looking Glass Review

Alice has the sort of magic we all want. She believes in impossible things and doesn’t accept the limitations society sets for her. Her imagination is one of the best. Alice Through The Looking Glass takes place three years after the 2010 live action Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowska and others return to bring Wonderland back to life. Suprisingly, I did not like Alice in Wonderland when I first saw it in theaters. Seeing and liking Alice Through The Looking Glass brought me back to watch the other. I’ve since grown a great appreciation for English history and culture and that made all the difference for me. So if you, also, didn’t appreciate the first one, I’d give it a shot and see this one as well.

Alice Through The Looking Glass tells us a lot of backstory and delves into how characters became the way they are. Perhaps the best theme in this film is something the character Time, Sacha Baron Cohen, directly says to Alice. You can’t change the past but you can learn from it.

The world of Alice Through The Looking Glass is even more lovely than we’ve seen it before. The vibrant colors, costumes and silliness of it all is delightful to look at. When I really love a movie, I try to go and see it again if I’ve attended a screening of it because I want to vote with my dollars and support it. I went to see Alice Through The Looking Glass on Memorial Day night in an IMAX theater and really enjoyed getting lost in the sights of Wonderland. Alice Through The Looking Glass Review SparklyEverAfter.com

I also love the beauty collaborations that came about from Alice Through The Looking Glass. I picked up some OPI nail polishes and the Urban Decay palette inspired by the film. Check back for thoughts on those in my next blog posts.
